With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and we saw her fade away although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest. . Mary Jernigan Eldridge 2-26-1915 to 10-29-89 It just doesn't seem that simple words can do justice to the wealth of feelings I have in my heart for my dear Mother whom I cherish like none other.. She showed me how to give of myself, She showed me leadership & how to be strong. She taught me the importance of the family & demonstrated unconditional love. She demonstrated a sensitivity to people's needs and handed down to me the important values in life. She set an example, throughout her life of what a mother should be and I am so very proud she was my mother. A wise old proverb said that "God created mothers because He couldn't be everywhere." And having been blessed with such a wonderful mother, I have to believe that the proverb is true. All I am, all I ever hope to be...I owe to my beloved Mother!!
