A LETTER FROM PHILIP FLAGG, CREW CHIEF C/227th AHB

Just got time to check out your new site, great job. Read the letter that
Jack Baron wrote to you.  In the letter He ask about the lad that was killed
when his ship flipped over on him.  I'm not sure if this is the one He is
looking for, but PFC Willie Cary (Gunner)was killed on 31 July, 1966 while
flying with me.  We was flying out of Cheo Reo when our ship crashed and
burn, and Cary was pinned under it. He is not listed on your list of Who
Gave All.  Another one that is not listed is SP4 Gale Crawford.  He was
killed at LZ Bird while Him and I was sleeping on top of the aircraft.  I'm
not sure of the date, but you might check with John Leonard.  He was one of
the pilot's with us.  He should remember it for He was sleeping under the
tailboom on his cot, which wound up with 5 holes in his air mattress,
luckeeeeeeey.  Keep up the good work, appreciated by all.  Phil
